Blue Moon Bloom

A Softly-Structured Notebook

Cover of Blue Moon Bloom: a pair of open brown hands holding a bouquet of a sunflower, blue flowers and eucalyptus, with butterflies, bees and a pale blue moon behind them.

Once in a blue moon, you bloom. Blooming doesn't have to happen often to be real, and it isn't the only thing that happens between one bloom and the next. This notebook makes room for all of it: the rising, the settling, the dipping, and the blooming too.

How it works

  1. Start any day. The notebook is undated, so you begin whenever you land on the page and skip days without penalty.
  2. Open each month with a mood calendar. Nothing is marked yet, so you shade it in as you go or when the month closes.
  3. Shade a small circle each day. It has four positions (elevated, mixed, balanced and low), plus a dot in the center for "not sure." The daily pages come lined for writing or blank for doodling.
  4. Close each month with a few guided pages. You look back at what filled it, so each new calendar starts with a little more understanding than the last.

The moon marks your mood

Elevated is a moonrise, mixed is a half moon, balanced is a full moon, and low is a moon sliver.
